deeply impressed by the work and life of

Fabienne Verdier

Verdier as a young woman went to Chongquing to study the traditional Chinese arts. But China had gone through the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution and only a few of the old masters where left. She went to find them and became their student, living a life that's so much different from that in an industrialized western country like France. With the beginning of the 1990s she started having exhibitions regularly and working as an artist. 2003 her book Passagère du silence, six ans d'initiation en Chine (The Dragon's Brush / Zeichen der Stille) was published.

Writing Life — this is a text about her artwork.
And that's her W E B S I T E. It's worth checking it out!
