キノコ Pilze

.

Do you go mushroom picking? Some photographs make me remember doing it when I was a small child, mostly with my grandparents. It was fun being out amongst nature, searching, finding, learning; at the end having loads (being a child all thing appear bigger) of mushrooms for several nice dishes. A common and simple way is to stir fry them along with eggs or cook them with cream to make a sauce for dumplings or a piece of meat. In 1986 people didn't hunt mushrooms anymore: The Chernobyl disaster had brought contaminated rain which hit our region hard. We had to stop picking berries and mushrooms in forests. Now almost 25 years later it seems that more people have begun occasionally picking mushrooms again. Mhh... maybe next year? And more for the sake of doing something enjoyable out in fresh air, than for cheaply filling the kitchen cabinets.
